As Much As Me

He took the paintings off the wall
Not just the one, but took them all
When he left me
He took the bulbs and all their fixtures
And wrapped them up in the dirty pictures
When he left me

Boxes upon boxes fill a truck
He can have it all; I don’t give a fuck

Cause what I need is someone to love me
Not the things he thinks more of than me
Cause nothing that could fit inside that
Little truck should mean as much as me

See, it started when the winter came
As the work slowed down things couldn’t stay the same
As they did before
It took everything just to get caught up
But then nothing seemed to work quite well enough for us
Like it did before

Then I came to find the comfort that he sought
Was in something other than the arms I thought

But what I need is someone to love me
Not the things he thinks more of than me
Cause nothing that could fit inside that
Little truck should mean as much as me

The zeros in the bank account got all but turned around
All I could do was watch the vows dissolving
It wasn’t long before I knew that in the end he’d rather choose
To have something left to lose over me

But what I need is someone to love me
Not the things he thinks more of than me
Cause nothing that could fit inside that
Little truck should mean as much as me
Shouldn’t mean as much as me
It won’t love him as much as me
